The Board of Directors is made up of people with a wide range of experience. Together they are able to provide the strategic planning, ethical governance, skilled leadership and commitment needed to deliver high quality support and services.

Michelle Rogers-Chair (BSW,DMS,GAICD)

Michelle is one of Evie's mothers, originally from Perth Western Australia.She has 30 years experience in social work in the Not For Profit and Public Sector initially working in London, specialising in child protection and mental health; then in counselling, therapy and advice services. She spent some of these years working with young people affected by childhood trauma. She then moved into strategic management in the Not For Profit and government sectors. Michelle currently works in the tertiary sector and is an experienced leader and manager. As the parent of a child who has died of cancer she is committed to improving the quality of life of children, young people and their families who are living with cancer.
 

Alison Elgar (BA Hons, Dip Psych Couns)

Alison is one of Evie's mothers. She has over 25 years experience in the mental health field, including psychotherapy and counselling. She has taught psychotherapy and counselling as well as provided clinical supervision. She has managed various organisations, served as Chair of a Board of Trustees as well as run her own business. As parent of a child who has lived and died of cancer, she has an intimate understanding of the needs of children, young people, their families and friends of those living with this disease.

Jan Saggers (BA Hons, Politics, UWA 1982, MIPAA)

Jan Saggers is Managing Director of a Perth-based management consulting business focussing on the government sector. Prior to starting the company, Jan worked for 7 government agencies in research and policy roles. She has 3 teenage children and an interest in improving the lives and educational opportunities of WA's children and young people.

Rachel Gardiner

Rachel is the Director of Finest Occasions and Events and with over 25 years experience in the industry, including international roles within Publicity and Event Management, Rachel provides professional and personalised services in the planning, designing and co-ordinating and management of all events and weddings. Having worked with well known organisations internationally and nationally in the healthcare, education, law enforcement, retail, technology and trade industries, Rachel is committed to delivering the same level of exceptional service to all corporate clients as well as clients on their personal celebration.

Ian Ross-Vice-Chair

Ian is an award-winning executive who designs and implements strategies to achieve long-term goals for the Commonwealth Public Service. He has written over a dozen booklets and online resources, and has made numerous presentations to a wide variety of professional and business groups. Ian and his partner have 2 young children who are a constant source of joy. In his spare time he loves camping with his family and scuba diving off the Western Australian coast.
