Ask anyone who has been handed a bag at Fremantle Markets and they will tell you the tagline is accurate. "Just One More..!" is less a slogan than a warning. It is also why Morish Nuts ends up in so many of the corporate gift boxes we build for Perth businesses. Nuts are the quiet workhorse of a good gift box, and these are the ones people actually finish.
The short version: Morish Nuts started in a rented Cottesloe town house in 1994 and now runs its kitchen and shop at Herne Hill in the Swan Valley. The range runs savoury to sweet, there is a gluten free line, and they already supply gift hamper companies Australia wide. That makes them a reliable, recognisably local inclusion for corporate gifting.
From a Cottesloe town house to the Swan Valley
Morish started in 1994, and it started small in the most literal sense.
Archie Moroni was studying at Murdoch University and baking half-kilo batches of specialty nuts out of a rented Cottesloe town house. Marie Mapp packaged them, and the two of them sold them at local universities and markets. Demand outgrew the arrangement fairly quickly. Archie put his studies on long term hold, and what had been a side operation became the whole thing.
More than thirty years on, Morish runs its head office, kitchen and retail shop at Herne Hill in the Swan Valley, with the Fremantle Markets outlet that introduced a generation of Perth locals to the brand still going. Archie is still there, listed on their own website as the self-proclaimed "Principal Nut".
They describe themselves as an "iconic brand" and a "must have for visiting tourists to Perth", which is a big claim for a nut company and, in Perth, a fair one.
Why nuts earn their place in a corporate gift box
Every inclusion in a gift box has to justify itself. Nuts justify themselves more easily than most.
They suit almost everyone
Corporate gifting has a guessing problem. You are often sending to someone you have met twice, or to a whole office you have never met at all. Alcohol is a gamble. Very sweet things are a gamble. A good caramel coated or savoury nut mix lands with far more people than it misses, and the range runs from savoury through to sweet, which gives us room to match the box to the recipient.
They hold up
Like nougat, nuts are forgiving. They tolerate a courier, a hot car and a day on a reception desk without any loss of quality. When you are sending twenty boxes to twenty different addresses, that reliability is worth more than novelty.
Fewer people get left out
Morish carries a range of treats free of lactose, additives, preservatives and colourants, including a complete gluten free range. In an office gift box, that is the difference between everyone being included and one person quietly putting the box down.
They already know this world
One thing we appreciate about working with Morish is that they understand gifting from the inside. Alongside their own retail, they supply gift hamper companies Australia wide, along with hotels including the Duxton, Pan Pacific, Grand Chancellor and Versace.
That shows up in practical ways. Consistent sizing, packaging that survives being packed alongside other items, and a product that looks considered rather than shop bought once it is in the box. Those things sound minor until you have built a hundred gift boxes and discovered which inclusions cause problems.

What it says about the business sending it
A gift box is a small piece of communication. It says how much attention the sender pays, and it says it faster than any accompanying card.
Choosing a maker with a real story, made twenty minutes from the office of the person receiving it, reads differently to something ordered from a national catalogue. It is recognisably local, and in Perth that recognition is immediate. People know Morish. Seeing it in a box from a supplier or a partner registers as a deliberate choice, because it is one.

Yes. We build boxes around Western Australian makers and can add branded message cards, logo stickers or other branded touches. A minimum order of 5 applies for corporate gift box orders.
Local sourcing, in practice
We build most of our corporate gift boxes around Western Australian makers, and Morish is one of the anchors of that approach. It keeps spend in the state, it shortens the supply chain, and it gives the box a sense of where it came from.
If your business cares about that, Sustainable Corporate Gifts sets out how we think about it, and Corporate Gift Boxes Perth shows what the boxes themselves look like. When you are ready, request a corporate gifting quote. A minimum order of 5 applies for corporate gift box orders.
Morish works in almost any configuration. It pairs with chocolate, nougat, coffee or a bottle, and it suits client thank-yous, staff appreciation boxes, settlement gifts and end of year gifting equally well. It is also one of the few inclusions that reliably gets shared around an office, which extends the reach of a single box considerably.
